"In our league, everybody beats up on everybody else," said Cascade Christian coach Loren King. "We’re still alive, but we’re at a point where we have to rely on other people beating other teams." Chiloquin (6-2 SCL) held on to sole possession of second place, while the Challengers (5-4) fell to fourth place. The Queens never trailed, leading 21-17 at the half and 33-27 going into the final quarter. Advertisement Sarah Schelb topped all scorers with 15 points, while Lottie Riddle added 10 for Chiloquin. Cascade Christian got 11 points from Rusti Mosser. "It was a hard-fought game," King said. The only other 3-pointer by the Challengers (9-10, 6-3 SCL) came with 2:10 to play when freshman Josh Smith tied the game at 53.
