Man charged with sexually assaulting chicken Joshua Brian Woltmon Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 8:10 PM May 2, 2017 at 8:12 PM Nick Morgan Mail Tribune @mtcrimebeat A Medford transient has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge alleging used a chicken for sexual gratification. Joshua Brian Woltmon, 27, entered not guilty pleas Tuesday on a single felony count of sexually assaulting an animal, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and public indecency, Jackson County Circuit Court records show. A document filed in the case alleges Woltmon used the chicken "for the purpose of arousing and gratifying the sexual desire of a person," though little additional information was available Tuesday in the case.  Circuit Court Judge Tim Barnack set Woltmon's bail at $25,000 Tuesday, with the requirement that he comply with mental health professionals upon his release, a court order shows. Medford police records show that Woltmon was arrested on the charges at 6:02 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of South Riverside Drive, but further information about the alleged animal abuse is currently sealed. Court records show no prior sexual offenses, though he has a prior meth-possession conviction and has pending cases charging him with possessing methamphetamine and trespassing between on incidents in Sept. 13, March 27 and April 10.
