Central Point police arrested Socia Tuesday on a felony warrant charging heroin possession. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released because of overcrowding. Burglary — Thomas Lee Thorpe, 23, no known address. Eagle Point police arrested Thorpe Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and methamphetamine possession, and on a misdemeanor charge of first-degree trespassing. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Burglary — Christopher Ryan Newby, 33, of the 400 block of East 12th Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Newby Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and coercion, misdemeanor charges of third-degree criminal mischief, violating a no-contact order, fourth-degree assault, first-degree trespassing and harassment, and on warrants charging probation violation on a previous felony strangulation conviction and a previous misdemeanor fourth-degree assault conviction. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $103,000 bail. Drugs — Erica Beverly Williams, 22, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Williams Wednesday on a felony charge of heroin possession. She was lodged in jail Wednesday on $10,000 bail. Burglary — Stephanie Ann Birch, 31, of the 600 block of Karick Way, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Birch Wednesday on felony charges of first- and second-degree burglary, methamphetamine possession, two felony counts of first-degree theft, and a misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal mischief. She was lodged in jail Wednesday on $46,000 bail. Court Appearance — Juan Manuel Romero, 38, of Salem. On Wednesday, Romero made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of second-degree forgery. He was booked in the jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Britney Ann Thompson, 27, no known address. Medford police arrested Thompson Wednesday on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and on warrants charging failure to appear in court on charges of methamphetamine and heroin possession, second-degree theft and possession of a Schedule III controlled substance. She was lodged in jail Wednesday on $54,000 bail. Crime report Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:01 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Peachwood Court, Medford. Miscellaneous horse tack was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,500. Theft — Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Biddle Road, Medford. A black bag containing a 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro laptop was reported stolen. The loss was valued at $1,400.
