Joint police force finds meth lab near Ashland Police found a drug lab and an unspecified amount of methamphetamine in a home outside Ashland after searching the property Thursday afternoon. Thomas Allan Geisenhaver, 37, of 86 Crowson Road, was arrested at the house and charged with possession, manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine. Geisenhaver was lodged on $25,000 bail in the Jackson County Jail. Talent police Chief C.W. Smith said his department and officers from Phoenix worked to secure search warrants for the home, following an investigation into alleged drug activity. Smith said the drug lab was located in a loft above the garage on the property shortly after police arrived at 1 p.m. Thursday. Smith said it appeared the lab had not been used for several days. Officers from Talent, Phoenix, Shady Cove and Ashland were present during the raid and arrest. Jackson County Animal Control officers also were present to manage several dogs on the property. Although there were no drug sales or drug manufacturing under way when police arrived at the scene, officers who searched the home seized chemicals and equipment they said was used in the manufacturing of drugs.
