SOCIETY The Women of Woodcraft had a very enjoyable time at their last regular meeting June 27, in the nature of a "sox" social after lodge. The following committee had charge of the program: Mrs. Delia Parker, Mrs. Loretta Rinabarger, Mrs. Emily Aitken, Mrs. Jennie Bellinger. The program was as follows: Miss Lucile Koontz, piano solo; Mrs. Frank Loder, reading; Misses Lillian and Daisy Moore, piano duet; Mrs. Delia Parker, reading; Misses Neva Samuels and Lucile Koontz, piano duet; Mrs. J. H. Bellinger, reading. Each number was very much appreciated. After the program refreshments were served, consisting of cake and punch, the latter being served from a miniatures well embedded in a mass of Dorothy Perkins roses and ivy. This was a beauty within itself. The hall was tastefully decorated with roses, Shasta daisies and ivy. J. H. Bellinger had charge of the opening of the "sox," the contents of which contained a penny for each number worn by the owner. This afforded much merriment and concluded the program. There were fifty in attendance and all voted the committee royal entertainers. A very delightful afternoon was spent at the home of Miss Florence Graves on South Ivy, when Alpha Delta class of the Christian church held their class party Thursday afternoon. During the business session Mrs. Hanby gave a talk on "Plans for Future Work of the Class." After the business session Mrs. Wold, who had charge of the program, gave a very interesting paper on "Italy"; Miss Bess Bryan, solo, accompanied by Mrs. H. E. Tucker; Miss Florence Graves, piano solo. After which all present took part in the discussion of "Musicians of Italy." Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served by the committee, Mrs. J. H. Bellinger, Mrs. Ed Robinson and Mrs. A. B. Cunningham. St. Mark's Guild closed their meetings Thursday for the summer to reopen the first Thursday in September. A delicious luncheon was served in cafeteria style. Three food sales will be given during the summer, Mrs. Hoke, Mrs. Swan and Mrs. Sonther being chairman of each committee.
