The event is the country’s largest Olympic distance masters rowing event. The Ashland eight-oared team of Jim Sims , Traci Brander , Phil Beneditti , Scott Knox , Don Dammann , Andy Baxter , Steve Kiesling , Ron Iverson and Philip Michael will race in June at the USA Northwest Regional Masters Championships and again at the July World Masters Games at Edmonton, Canada. Bowling Tony Bristow matched the highest series ever rolled at Roxy Ann Lanes with an 836. He rolled games of 279, 279 and 278 in the Thursday night Ball & Chain League. Jim Falk scored a 300 game and Neal Roberts notched an 804 series recently at Lava Lanes. Golf Ed Fisher and Glen Clark of Quail Point Golf Course won team gross with a 135 in the two-day OPGA Senior Masters at Sandpines Golf Links on Friday. Clark notched first place in the amateur gross and Fisher took third place in the professional gross. Judo Medford Judo Academy’s Robert Keyes and Eathan Leonard were promoted to second-degree blue belt after recent testing. In the kids’ class, Charmi Hegg and Conner Dedrick earned their second-degree yellow belts, while Channel Reid , Eathan Leonard II , Ryan Leonard and Ariana Leonard were each promoted to third-degree yellow belts.
