Coolidge cruises to triumph in Pre COOS BAY � St. Mary�s Trevor Coolidge was an easy winner in the high school division of the 21st Annual Prefontaine Memorial Run Saturday. Coolidge covered the 10-kilometer course in 33 minutes, 22 seconds � 53 seconds ahead of Rogue River�s Nathan Love. He was seventh overall and was the third-fastest American in the event. St. Mary�s finished ninth in the team standings. Nathan May finished third in 35:27, pacing Phoenix to second-place behind Marshfield. Rogue River�s Bobbi Wright and Lauren Fety finished 1-2 in the girls division as the Chieftains won the girls title with 56 points. Wright was clocked in 41:17 and Fety in 41:39. St. Mary�s Leah Sawyer was fourth in 43:17. Crater, led by Sam Keser and Jody Polyniak finished second out of nine teams. NEW BALANCE FESTIVAL OF CHALLENGERS � At Oregon City, Paris Edwards turned in a 39-second victory and Kendall Clark broke under 20 minutes for the first time as Ashland�s girls finished eighth in the seeded sweepstakes division. Edwards was clocked in 17:57 on the flat grass course, while Clark was timed in 19:49. Ashland�s boys finished third in the invitational division, led by Chris Faudree, who was seventh in 16:37. Roberts won the boys race in a time of 16 minutes, 44 seconds, while teammate Adam Wadsworth took sixth (17:26). Blake Longmore placed eighth for the Indians at 17:34, while Danny Larson finished 10th at 17:45. Churchill claimed the boys title with a six-point edge on the Indians.
