Company to show off electric bus next week Friday Jan 6, 2017 at 5:22 PM Jan 6, 2017 at 5:41 PM The Rogue Valley will get a demonstration of an electric bus next week. From Tuesday through Friday, a 40-foot, 35-passenger ZEPS (Zero Emissions Propulsion System) bus from Complete Coach Works will visit Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass, according to a press release from the company. The bus will tour local cities, offering residents a free ride, technology demonstration and an introduction to what clean renewable energy transit can offer. Representatives from Coach Works will accompany the bus to answer questions. The electric bus’ destination is Grants Pass, where it is under consideration for purchase by Josephine Community Transit, the release said. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, the bus will make several stops in Ashland, including ScienceWorks, 1500 E. Main St., at 8 a.m.; Mountain Meadows Clubhouse, 855 Mountain Meadows Drive, at 10 a.m.; Southern Oregon University's Stevenson Union, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., at noon; and the Chamber of Commerce, 110 E. Main St., at 4 p.m. On Jan. 11-13, the bus will make several trips each day on the Grants Pass/Medford route. On Friday, Jan. 13, Southern Oregon Climate Action Now is organizing a ride from Medford to Grants Pass, with lunch in Grants Pass before returning to Medford.
