Jackson County sees eight new cases of COVID-19 By Mail Tribune staff Sep 10, 2020 04:10 PM A A Jackson County Public Health reported eight new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the local total to 936. As of Wednesday, Sept. 9, 171 of the cases were considered infectious. More up-to-date information was not available Thursday. There have been local 70 hospitalizations and three deaths from the illness. The Oregon Health Authority reported three new deaths and 187 new cases statewide. That raises the state’s death toll to 497, the total amount of Oregon cases to 28,654.
