Medford Planning Commission will discuss mobile home park Medford Planning Commission is scheduled to take up the issue tonight of a large mobile home development proposed in west Medford. The Stonebrook Park would include 338 lots for mobile homes and 148 lots for conventional homes. The park is to be built on 88 acres on the north side of Rossanley Drive just west of Ross Lane. The public hearing on the issue -- which spanned four meetings and two months -- was closed at the last session on July 29. Commissioners are expected to deliberate the merits of the project at a meeting at 7 tonight in the council chambers of City Hall, 411 W. Eighth St. As initially proposed, the development would have included 514 mobile homes, making it the largest park of its type in Oregon. Neighbors complained, however, and during public hearings developers reduced the number of mobile homes in the proposed park, making it smaller than the largest one in Oregon City, which has more than 400 mobile homes. If the Planning Commission approves the project tonight, it will face no other city hurdles unless an opponent appeals the decision to the City Council.
