Natalie Morales Reportedly Wants to Leave Today Amid Feud Natalie Moralesis planning to leaveToday... By TV Guide MailTribune.com By TV Guide Posted Nov. 11, 2014 @ 8:07 am By TV Guide Posted Nov. 11, 2014 @ 8:07 am » Social News Natalie Morales is planning to leave Today due to behind-the-scenes power struggles, Page Six reports. According to Page Six 's sources, Morales has been clashing with co-host Tamron Hall and NBC News President Deborah Turness to the point where Morales' reps are plotting her next move. Morales, who joined Today in 2006, is currently the third-hour co-host and was passed over for Savannah Guthrie to replace Ann Curry after her controversial exit two years ago. Now, Turness, who reportedly hasn't spoken to Morales in months, plans to promote Hall to a bigger position while Morales would stay put, according to Page Six . The biggest Today show blunders "There's a lot of tension. Natalie and Tamron are competitive, and there was a big blowup in October between the two. Deborah has an issue with Natalie and has sided with Tamron. There has been zero communication between Deborah and Natalie for a long period of time. It's the talk of NBC staff," a source said. While another insider debunked the rumors, saying Morales has two years on her Today contract and her agent hasn't been looking for other positions, a third source claimed that her agent has been reaching out to networks and that Morales is considering a talk show. Today 's executive producer Don Nash released a statement shooting down the reports: "This is total nonsense. As the Today show continues to gain momentum, it sounds like someone is trying to stir up trouble that doesn't exist. Natalie Morales is valued by everyone at the news division from the top down, and her future is with the Today show and NBC News."
