KU boys dominate all-state selections Klamath Union's boys cross country team dominated the first team selections of the Southern Oregon Conference once again. Senior Jacob Gomez and junior Lauren Jespersen were named co-runners of the year, while Rob Coffman took home coach-of-the-year honors for the Pelicans in both boys and girls. In girls, Melis Garner capped a solid season for Roseburg with runner-of-the-year honors. RODGERS, LUNSFORD ALL-STATE - Butte Falls' Nick Rodgers and Eric Lunsford each earned all-state and all-Skyline A League honors for Class 1A football. Rodgers, a senior linebacker, made second-team all-state, while running back Lunsford made the third team. Joining the two on the all-Skyline A team for the Loggers were guard/defensive lineman David Hoel, back Isaac Stevenson, defensive end Tony Beals and defensive back Kale Freeman. SKY A NETTERS HONORED - Butte Falls capped off a successful volleyball season with two competitors earning Skyline A Southern Division first team honors. Jessica Dunlap and Asia Million each got the nod for the Loggers, while Prospect's Hillary Lewis also made the squad. Sarah Matthews earned honorable mention honors for Butte Falls, while Christina Emmons represented Prospect.
