Lampert outlasts Russell at Lithia Motors Championships Chris Lampert, a Southern Oregon University student, outlasted Clint Russell of Medford on the opening day of the 20th annual Lithia Motors Tennis Championships Friday at the Southern Oregon Tennis Club. Lampert prevailed in the men's 4.0 singles match, 6-1, 3-6, 7-6, with a third-set tiebreaker. In the women's open division, Annie Chaney of Medford rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kristin Maloney, also of SOU. Play begins at 8 this morning and continues to the final matches at 8 p.m. The tournament concludes Sunday. Lithia Motors Tennis Championships Women's 3.5 Singles Jennifer Marks, SOU, def.
