She was laid to rest at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Ore. She was born April 11, 1929 to Herbert and Bernice Rucker in Blasdell, N..Y. Grace grew up in Blasdell, graduated from Blasdell High School, and then met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Joe Bonsall. They married June 9, 1949. She raised two boys, Dave and Joel. The family moved to California in 1961. In 1981, Grace and Joe traveled the west in their RV for three years searching for their new retirement home and eventually settled down in Phoenix, Oregon. Grace avidly enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds. She enjoyed knitting, creating beautiful afghan blankets, clothing, and many Christmas card keepsakes. She loved working with her local church and clubhouse on many bazaar events. She kept an impeccable household and was an outstanding cook and homemaker. Grace is survived by her loving son, Dave Bonsall (Martha); her sisters, Joan Steele and Joyce Cline; her grandson, Mark Bonsall; her nephews, Billy, Bobby, Jim, and Ronny Steele and Scott, Ken, Kevin, and Mark Cline; her nieces, Linda Smolarek, Caroline Reardon, and Lorraine Campbell. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph; her son, Joel; her parents, Bernice and Herbert; and her brother, Donald. Grace will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family extends a very special thanks for the tender care given by our dear friend, Al Workman and his family, who helped watch over Grace, as well as our caregivers, Jackie Huff and Billie Swanson, and the staff at Asante Hospice. No public services will be held.
