She was surrounded by her loving family. Joy was born to Vera and Orey Hurt in Wenatchee, Wash. November 10, 1931. Joy grew up in the Wenatchee area and in Omak, Wash., where she graduated in 1950 from Omak High School. She was married in 1951 to Lewis G. Moses in Omak, Wash., and they made their home in Cashmere, where Lewis worked in the local grocery store, and Joy kept house and looked after their three children. By the early 1960s Joy was employed at the Wenatchee Sears store, where she worked for close to 10 years. Joy met Robert Clark while working at Sears, and they were married in 1972. They moved to Medford, Ore., where they made their home. Joy was known for baking the family's favorite apple pie and for mastering the Clark family bread recipe. She loved shopping for the grandchildren and sewed many dresses for the granddaughters. She was a skilled tole painter, selling under the name Tole Peddlers at local craft fairs. She was active in CATS rescue shelter, and was a lifelong cat lover. She was devoted to reading the daily newspaper and made certain no coupon went to waste. She had a keen sense of humor, and enjoyed many a cold Rolling Rock. Joy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert L. Clark of Medford; three children, Bruce Moses (Joan) of Cashmere, Wash., Rhona Moses of Renton, Wash., and Brian Moses of Jacksonville, Ore.; three step-children, Lorrie Dilday (Wayne) of Osburn, Idaho, Kenneth Clark (Laura Lee) of Moscow, Idaho, and Sharon Parker of Medford, Ore.; three brothers, Del Hurt (Joyce) of Wenatchee, Wash., Jack Hurt of Wenatchee, Wash., and Jerry Hurt (Yvonne) of Huntington Beach, Calif. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Jessica Moses of Burlingame, Calif., Sarah Moses of Central Point, Ore., Naomi Moses of Reno, Nev., Keith Moses (Jen) of Central Point, Ore., Ben Moses of Medford, Ore., Marshall Moses of Corvallis, Ore, Courtney Moses of Cashmere, Wash., Kristen Ising (Kirk) of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Brian Dilday, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ted Dilday, Marysville, Wash., Holly Butler (Mike) of Wellsville, Ohio, and Aaron Clark, Idaho. Joy and Robert had 14 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. The family plans to hold a memorial service at a future date.
