October 05. 2014 2:00AM Richard W. Ramsey On October 1, 2014 our father Richard W. Ramsey went to meet his Savior face to face. Richard was born December 12, 1924 in Provo, Utah to a musical family and music was his lifelong passion. He was always heard humming or singing. After serving in the U.S. Navy he attended the College of Marin where he met his bride of 53 years, Virginia McCrea Ramsey, who preceded him in death in 2003. After they raised their large family, they moved to the Evans Valley where they spent 30 years enjoying the ranch that they built. Richard leaves behind his daughters, Kristine Le Gault (Dan), Kim Page (David), and Janice Enkoff; sons, Shawn Ramsey (Julie) and Scott Ramsey (Sharon); 24 grandchildren, a bounty of great-grandchildren and a handful of great-great-grandchildren. He loved you all. Richard also leaves behind his beloved brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Ruth Oliphant and his much-loved nieces and nephews, Jocylyn, Jon, Jerri, and Jeff. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Sims. Dad will always be remembered for being the most positive and encouraging man we know. He always had a kind word and a song to sing. As the family of Richard we would like to express our deep gratitude to the kind and compassionate family at Farmington Square. They cared for our father with such love and dignity during the final months of his earthly journey. Thank you so much for the love and support.
