According to a district attorney's information filed in Jackson County Circuit Court, Andrew Robert Brickley stalked a woman for several weeks after allegedly sexually assaulting her in two separate incidents at the beginning of the month. An Ashland police detective Tuesday arrested Brickley on two counts of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse, coercion, fourth-degree assault, strangulation and stalking. The charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy both carry mandatory minimum sentences of 100 months in prison under Measure 11 sentencing guidelines. First-degree sexual abuse carries a minimum sentence of 75 months in prison. Court records show Brickley was arrested by Medford police in January 2014 after he assaulted his father, and he was on probation for a fourth-degree assault conviction in that case when the sexual assaults and stalking are alleged to have occurred. Brickley is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $1 million bail and has been ordered not to have any contact with the victim. He's scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 25.
