Central Point police on Monday arrested Hayes on a charge of possession of amphetamines as well as failing to appear on five unrelated misdemeanor charges. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained Monday in lieu of $20,000 after appearing in Jackson County Circuit Court. Drugs — Branden Lee Mollett, 22, of Klamath Falls. Medford police on Monday arrested Mollett on a charge of possession of amphetamines and on a warrant for failing to appear on a first-degree burglary charge. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, then released Monday on her own recognizance. Drugs — Augustus Paul Benson, 29, of the 2600 block of Carr Street, White City. Benson made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of possession of illegal mushrooms and driving while suspended. He was processed Monday at the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance. Burglary — Michael Allen Eastman, 18, of the 200 block of Garden Row, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies on Monday arrested Eastman on two counts each of felony fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail where he remained Monday in lieu of $24,000 bail. Drugs — Alicia Genevieve Kistle, 43, of the 200 block of Mistletoe Road, Ashland. Medford police on Monday arrested Kistle on a charge of possession of amphetamines and for allegedly violating her probation from a previous felony conviction of possession of drug contraband. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where she remained Monday without bail. Advertisement Miscellaneous Jail releases — A total of 67 inmates were released last week from the Jackson County Jail to meet its new court-ordered cap of 216 inmates. Of those, 20 were released before their scheduled court appearances, two were granted an early release from a sentence and 45 were released for miscellaneous reasons.
