March for Science planned on Earth Day Friday Mar 24, 2017 at 6:23 PM Mar 24, 2017 at 6:23 PM A March For Science — Southern Oregon is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day), in Ashland as a satellite to a much larger march taking place in Washington, D.C., the same day. The nonpartisan March for Science champions well-funded programs that promote science and encourages political leaders and policymakers to enact policies in the public interest that are evidence-based. Participants are encouraged to create signs, dress in costume and march with family and friends. The march will begin on Iowa Street, across from Ashland High School, and end at the Rogue Valley Earth Day event at ScienceWorks, 1500 E.
