Rental owners group reports 2.48 percent vacancy rate Dec 12, 2014 12:00 AM A A Southern Oregon Rental Owners Association members reported a 2.48 percent vacancy rate in November. The group, representing individuals and organizations with rental housing, said it had 83 vacancies out of 3,384 reporting units. In November 2013, SOROA reported a 3.3 percent vacancy rate. In October, the vacancy rate was 2.38 percent. SOROA's next meeting is at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Twin Creeks Retirement Center, 888 Twin Creeks Crossing, Central Point. A panel discussion will be led by SOROA directors Carlyle Stout, Laurel Adams, Lee Dunn, Louise Dunn, as well as Roberta Claudson and Rose Jennings. Dinner is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.
