MT grid forecast Ashland (12-0) vs. Jesuit (12-0) Saturday, 3 p.m., Eugene's Autzen Stadium Radio Broadcast, 2 p.m., KCMX (580-AM) Jesuit coach Ken Potter has posted an impressive 97-35 record in his 12 seasons with the Crusaders, but has never won a state championship. Is this the year? The Crusaders have run over their three playoff opponents and haven't been tested since a 20-18 victory over Westview on Oct. 23. Jesuit is led by Matt Floberg, a 6-2, 220-pound senior fullback and inside linebacker who is being recruited by several major college teams. Jesuit QB Erik Lewis threw three TD passes in 26-0 victory over West Linn last week. Ashland is accustomed to underdog status and won't be intimidated by the bigger Crusaders in this Class 4A semifinal matchup. But the Grizzly offense must be more consistent than it was during last week's 24-19 victory over Sunset or their season will come to an end. Jesuit by 7. Roseburg (9-2) vs. Tualatin (11-1) Saturday, 6 p.m., Eugene's Autzen Stadium The hitting in this game will be ferocious as two physical teams brace for battle. Tualatin running back Luke Staley is coming off a 246-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Timberwolves' 23-7 win over Mountain View last week and has racked up 708 yards in three playoff victories. Tualatin has another excellent back in Ryan McKee. However, the Timberwolves' Wing-T offense is almost exclusively run-oriented and moving the ball on the ground against Roseburg's ornery defense won't be easy. Indian QB Kevin Linderman, meanwhile, continues to have a hot hand. He passed for 184 yards and three TDs in the Indians' come-from-behind 28-20 victory over Lakeridge last week.
