Stone Salmon Spiral Transformation: In recognition of the winter solstice, volunteers will help North Mountain Park staff transform the Stone Salmon Spiral into in-stream habitat for salmon and other aquatic wildlife from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at North Mountain Park Nature Center, 620 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Participants will walk the spiral one last time and then deconstruct it. Gloves will be provided, but participants should be dressed for cold weather and rock moving. His newest CD, "Wild Rose," was released in 2013 on his Magic Wing label.
