Race-day registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at 110 E. Main St., Talent. Runs start at 9 a.m. Musicians and dancers will provide entertainment. A post-race party features Latin American food, face painting, crafts and more. Costs range from $15 for the one-miler to $27 to $42 for the 5K and 10K races based on distance and registration date. Medford's Railroad Park: The park — home of the Medford Garden Railroaders, Rogue Valley Model Railroad, Morse Telegraph Club, Southern Oregon Live Steamers and the Southern Oregon Railway Historical Society — will offer free rides on steam and diesel trains and a motor car, model railroad layouts, scale trains, and a display of restored cabooses from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of every month through October at Table Rock Road and Berrydale Avenue. Admission and parking are free, but donations will be accepted. Additional parking 0.4 miles from the park is available at Eagles Aerie No. 2083 on Table Rock Road behind Wendy's. Heritage Cemetery Day: Historians Terry Skibby and Jeff LaLande will tell stories about early Ashland residents and remarkable headstones from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Ashland Cemetery located on East Main Street behind Haggen's grocery store, formerly Safeway, which is at 585 Siskiyou Blvd. The pioneer cemetery dating from the 1850s is the final resting place for Abel Helman, Lindsay Applegate and other prominent early residents. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a folding chair if standing is difficult for you. Water will be available. The event is free. Jake Shimabukuro: The ukulele virtuoso emerged on the worldwide music scene in 2006 with his rendition of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." His career has since skyrocketed with striking performances on stage, TV and radio, as well as the award-winning 2012 documentary "Jake Shimabukuro: Life on Four Strings." Shimabukuro will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford.
