Felony arrests Assault - Michael Wayne Acrey, 43, of the 2700 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Early Monday morning, Medford police arrested Acrey and charged him with fourth-degree felony assault and harassment. Acrey was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $8,000 bail. Theft - Summer Marie Deane, 20, of the 4900 block of Hamrick Road, Central Point. Deane appeared before a Jackson County judge Tuesday on an indictment charging her with first-degree and second-degree theft. Deane was booked in jail and released. Disorderly conduct -Kathleen Berta Price, 50, no local address. Early Monday morning, Oregon State Police arrested Price and charged her with disorderly conduct. Tuesday, police added a charge of possession of amphetamine. Price was jailed in lieu of $8,000 bail. Crime reports Possible kidnapping - Tuesday at 6:45 p.m., two Medford boys, ages 12 and 13, reported being held against their will while playing in Bear Creek Park, according to Medford Police Sgt. Tom McCleary. The boys told police that an unknown male - who appeared to be 13 to 15 years old - did not let them leave for an unspecified amount of time but used no weapon to hold them. The suspect, according to McCleary, had a dark complexion, freckles and dark hair. The boys told police the unknown male was wearing a blue shirt, jeans and riding a blue, BMX bike. The two minors were not injured in the event and the case is under investigation. Vandalism , littering - Jackson County sheriff's deputies took a report from BLM officials Tuesday regarding damaged roots and soil on the Salt Mine Creek Road site. According to reports, an unknown person drove over the plant life, causing an estimated $500 in damages. Also Tuesday, BLM officials reported finding a large amount of litter on the Anderson Butte Road site. Counterfeit bills - Monday, a White City restaurant employee reported receiving four $1 bills that appeared to be counterfeit, according to sheriff's reports. The case was forwarded to the U.S. Treasury Department. Sex crime - Sheriff's deputies are investigating report of a sex offense that allegedly took place in the county. The report was made Tuesday. Suspicious fire - A resident in the 24000 block of Dead Indian Memorial Road, rural Jackson County, reported a suspicious fire to the sheriff's department early Tuesday. Additional information was not available Tuesday night. The case is under investigation.
