Age groups include 11-12, 13-14 and 14-18. Position training and games each day. Coaches include former major-leaguers Dave Stewart, Lloyd Moseby and Bob Oliver and Medford Mustangs assistant coach Brent Watts. Morning sessions 9:30 a.m.-noon for boys ages 6-9 and girls 6- 13. Afternoon sessions from 1-3:30 p.m. for boys ages 10-14. Cost is $30. Call Steve Goodkin at 535-1526 or e-mail at [email protected]. Basketball YMCA SIGN-UPS — Women’s League for ages 16-up begins April 1 and runs every Thursday through May 13 at Hedrick Middle School. Cost is $250 per team. Sign-ups for seventh- to 12th-grade teams also underway. Season begins April 3 and runs through May 8 at Hedrick and McLoughlin Middle Schools. Cost is $30 for YMCA members and $45 for non-members. Includes 4th/5th-grade, 6th-grade, 7th-grade, 8th-grade, upper, lower, weeknight and high school divisions. Cost is $275 per team (upper, lower and weeknight) and $250 per team for others. Season starts April 3. Maximum of eight teams in each league and registration is first-come, first-served. Call Manny Crump at 734-9709. Bowling NORTHWEST TOURNAMENT FOR THE DEAF — Friday and Saturday at Lava Lanes. Admission is $5 per day with proceeds going to the Deaf Services of Southern Oregon. Competition starts at 9 a.m. each day with a no-tap tournament open to the public to follow. Cheerleading ROGUE VALLEY TNT ALL-STAR CHEER — Girls needed for team that competes all over the West Coast. Practices at Rogue Valley School of Gymnastics. Grades 5-8 practice from 5-8 p.m. on Sundays and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Grades 1-4 practice on Mondays and Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. The senior stunt team (grades 9-12) practices on Sundays from 5-7 p.m. and Mondays and Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m.Call Hayley Outlaw at 941-2450 for info. Ice Skating INTRODUCTORY CLASSES — Special four-week learn-to-skate or learn-to-hockey skate classes underway. New Saturday night session also available from 7-10 p.m. for $3. New six-week class on Tuesdays and Saturdays also underway. Weekend skate times are Friday, 7-9 p.m. and 9:15-11:15 p.m. (cosmic skate); Saturday, 1:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. (1/3 ice broomball); Sunday, 1-4 p.m. Rugby SOUTHERN OREGON STEELHEADS — New players welcome for local rugby team. Tennis FREE ADULT LESSONS — Held Wednesday for one hour at 1 p.m. at Southern Oregon Tennis Club. USPTA Professionals will be teaching beginner/advanced levels on the indoor courts.
