Arthur Anthony Dinzillo of the 14000 block of Antioch Road was flown to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland after receiving initial treatment Wednesday in an emergency room at Rogue Valley Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said. He was listed in serious condition late Wednesday, Legacy Emanuel spokeswoman Tracy Barnett said. The extent of his injuries was not known. A woman phoned police Tuesday evening to say Dinzillo had not returned as expected from a drive along East Evans Creek Road to Railroad Gap near the Jackson-Douglas county line, Jackson County sheriff’s Capt. Joe Puckett said. Search and rescue crews looked for Dinzillo through the night, but he was not found until about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, when a passing motorist noticed his 1961 International Scout pickup overturned in a ditch in the 21000 block of Antioch Road, Puckett said. Police went to the scene and found Dinzillo trapped inside the vehicle. He was removed from the pickup and taken by ambulance to the hospital. It is unknown when or how exactly Dinzillo’s vehicle ended up in the ditch, Puckett said.
