A Medford police officer Tuesday arrested Berry on two counts of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $4 million bail. Eluding — Jamie Lynn Elkins, 19, of the 3700 block of Mallard Lane, Medford. An Eagle Point police officer late Monday arrested Elkins on a charge of attempting to elude a police officer while in a vehicle. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Tuesday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Terrance George Armanino, 43, of the 800 block of Grandview Avenue, Grants Pass. A Central Point police officer Tuesday arrested Armanino on a charge of possession of amphetamines and out-of-county warrants charging him with manufacturing amphetamines, possession of amphetamines and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $15,000 bail. Assault — Noel Leslie White, 41, of the 6100 block of Coleman Creek Road. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Tuesday arrested White on charges of assaulting a police officer, fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, interfering with making a report and harassment. He was lodged in jail then released after posting bail. Forgery — Santos Medina-Alvarez, 25, of Bakersfield, Calif. An Oregon State Police trooper Tuesday arrested Medina-Alvarez on charges of first-degree possession of a forged instrument and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Juan Jose Diaz-Geronimo, 28, no known address. A sheriff’s deputy Tuesday arrested Diaz-Geronimo on charges of possession of amphetamines and being an illegal alien. He was lodged in jail without bail. Advertisement Crime reports Burglary — 6000 block of Foley Lane, Gold Hill. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Tuesday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a house and stole items valued at a minimum of $100. Theft — 3100 block of Juniper Ridge Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Tuesday took a report of a theft in which someone entered a vehicle and stole a digital camera, a telephone charger and boots valued at $800. Fire calls Structure fire — 600 block of Garfield Avenue, Medford. A child playing with a lighter started a fire that caused an estimated $3,000 damage to a storage room attached to a garage at a south Medford residence. Crews from the Medford fire department were called to the home at 5:36 p.m. to battle the blaze, Battalion Chief Ken Goodson said. A neighbor was able to "keep (the fire) in check" with a garden hose until firefighters arrived, Goodson said. Most of the damage was limited to the structure’s exterior, he said.
