Deputies on lookout for White City rapist WHITE CITY -- Jackson County sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who reportedly raped a 20-year-old woman Thursday in her home. Authorities have not disclosed how the man, described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, gained entry to the residence in the 3000 block of Highway 234. The woman reported that the man, whom she did not know, entered her home and raped her about 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Sgt. John Atkins would not release information about how the attacker was able to force himself on the woman. It's unclear whether the rapist had a weapon or threatened his victim. The woman was not seriously injured in the attack, Atkins said. Deputies have no suspects in the case, but they are looking for a white male between 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue pullover hooded sweatshirt, green tennis shoes and eyeglasses. Atkins said it's unlikely that the rape is connected with several sexual assaults in Ashland last November. "It's pretty early in the investigation to be drawing those kinds of conclusions, but it doesn't appear to be related," he said.
