Don't bank on empty parking lot I was in the downtown U.S. Bank underground parking lot. There appeared to be about 40 spaces, but only six being used. I understand that their employees have to use public parking. Has the bank thought of using the underground parking lot for their employees to free up some of the public parking spaces? It seems a shame to have all these empty spaces below the bank. -- Leona B., Central Point If those spaces were always empty, you might be able to make a better case to the bank, Leona. But Joe Danielson, vice president of the bank's Southern Oregon Business Banking Team, says customers do make use of them. "We reserve those for our customers," he says. "During peak branch hours, the spaces do fill up." And while there are times when the lot isn't very full, he says the bank still thinks it's important that they be available.
