Stabbing victim identified Police have identified the woman who was murdered in Wolf Creek Tuesday night. Victoria Lynn Pegram, 32, was stabbed to death, according to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. Two transients have been arrested in connection with her murder: Gregory Steven Ashcraft, 43, and Shawn L. Nelson, 28. Pegram knew the men, and apparently invited them into her residence at 159 Bloom Road about 9 p.m. Tuesday. Shortly afterward, Nelson and Ashcraft stabbed her and ran, police said. The men ran toward their car, which was parked on Interstate 5 near the edge of the motel. Nelson drove away without Ashcraft, who was arrested a short time later as he walked along the freeway. Nelson was arrested a short time later at a Grants Pass motel. Several neighbors of the victim knew Nelson and Ashcraft because they had rented an apartment there several months ago.
