Police: Victoria’s Secret shoplifter stole from Ulta, too By Nick Morgan Posted Apr 26, 2018 at 5:57 PM Updated Apr 26, 2018 at 6:14 PM Harmonie Jewel Taylor ▲ Harmonie Jewel Taylor ▲ --> A California woman accused of stealing more than $7,000 worth of Victoria's Secret merchandise from the Rogue Valley Mall last week has been charged in a similarly brazen cosmetics shoplift that occurred last month. Harmonie Jewel Taylor, 25, made an appearance Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of felony first-degree theft. She is accused of shoplifting a bagful of cosmetics from the Ulta Beauty store at Medford's Northgate Marketplace. At 10:18 a.m. March 19, Taylor was allegedly captured on store surveillance video filling a bag with about $1,000 worth of cosmetics at the store, according to court documents. A store employee attempted to stop Taylor, according to a Medford police affidavit. Taylor allegedly told the employee she didn't steal anything before leaving the area in a taxi with the bag. Taylor has been lodged in the Jackson County Jail since April 19, jail records show. Medford police captured her the day before, while she was returning by taxi to a Motel 6 on Biddle Road. Between a bag Taylor had with her inside the taxicab and her motel room, police recovered more than $10,000 in merchandise reported stolen from two Medford Safeway stores and Victoria's Secret at Rogue Valley Mall, police said. All the items reported stolen in April were recovered. Taylor is accused of providing police with false identification when she was arrested April 18. During questioning in the Ulta Beauty theft this week at the Jackson County Jail, Taylor allegedly told police she isn't from here, that she lives in Los Angeles, and, "I have nothing to say." Fingerprint records at the jail helped identify Taylor last week, according to court records, and showed she had a fugitive warrant out of San Francisco charging her with robbery. Taylor is scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon on two felony counts of first-degree theft, a misdemeanor count of providing false information to police and the extradition warrant to California.
