Berta L. Wright Feb 29, 2008 12:00 AM A A Berta L. Wright Berta L. Wright, 80, died in her home in Medford on February 27, 2008, after battling cancer and pneumonia. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Ward's Klamath Funeral Home. Father Dreisback will officiate. Concluding services will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wright was born March 26, 1927, in Granada, Nicaragua. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in California in 1945, with her sister. Together they worked in a sewing factory to make ends meet and helped each other adapt to their new culture and language. It was during this time she met Kenneth Wright, an Army serviceman. They eventually married in Oakland, Calif., on March 11, 1951. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker, raising three children, and helping her husband in his career. The family moved to Klamath Falls in 1965, where they resided for more than 30 years. Mrs. Wright was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She eventually moved to Medford in 2006 to be near her daughter. Her husband, Kenneth A. Wright, Sr., and son, Kenneth A. Wright, Jr., preceded Mrs. Wright in death. Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Wright of Anaheim, Calif; daughter and son-in-law, Annette and David Cunningham of Medford; grandson, Hunter Cunningham of Medford; sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Fernando Robleto of San Francisco, Calif; brother, Armando Lugo of Miami, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
