Bill Wennersten of Upperville Baptist Church officiated. The bride is the daughter of Bryan and Valerie Platt of Eagle Point. A 1997 graduate and valedictorian of North Medford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in Russian and history in 2001 from Willamette University, graduating magna cum laude. She received a law degree from Harvard Law School in 2005. She is a counsel with the Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C. The groom is the son of Stephen and Sheila Dysart of Warrenton, Va. Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was honorably discharged in 2008. He is a lobbyist with the National Rifle Association in Fairfax, Va. Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Emily McIntire of Eagle Point. Best man was the groom's brother, Paul Dysart of Warrenton, Va. Ushers were James Del Mul of Allen, Texas, and the bride's brother, Joshua Platt of Medford. Flower girls were the bride's nieces, Shelby Platt of Medford and Grace McIntire of Eagle Point. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Orim Platt of Medford. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Buchanan Hall in Upperville, Va. After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the newlyweds are living in Springfield, Va.
