November 04. 2014 2:00AM JoNelle Lynch Petermeyer JoNelle Lynch Petermeyer passed away peacefully at home September 25, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Eastwood Baptist Church in Medford. JoNelle was born at home May 27, 1930 to Joe and Nellie Lynch in Wilcox, Mo. During World War II the family moved to Renton, Wash. where JoNelle later graduated from high school and started working for Pacific NW Bell. Two years later she married Vernon Petermeyer, her beloved husband of 64 years. Their union was blessed with three children, Jean, David, and Susan. Three company transfers for Vernon took them to Oakland, Calif.; Sacramento, Calif.; and then Medford, Ore. where they've lived since 1975. JoNelle worked for Ma Bell for 27-1/2 years. JoNelle had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel and meet new people. Along with Vernon she was an avid walker and bicyclist. Volunteering with the SMART reading program at Roosevelt Elementary was a favorite retirement activity. She also enjoyed quilt-making and showing hospitality to others both at home and at church. JoNelle is survived by her husband and their children and families, daughter, Jean Williams and Bill Greene of Tucson, Ariz. and Freeport Ill.; her two sons, Todd and wife, Heather, of Freeport, and Drew of Tucson; son, David Petermeyer and wife, Joy, their son, Brad, wife, Tessa, and daughter, Sophia, all of Sacramento; daughter, Susan Wills of Troutdale, Ore. and her daughter, Karen, of Fairview, Ore.
