Yes, our upper torso. They come in all shapes and sizes for both men and women. And yes, chest exercises are for both men and women. Depending on your goals there are many different moves and variations to use, chest presses being the most popular. Our move today is a wide grip pulsing chest press. You will need a light to medium weighted bar, and a flat bench. This pulsing press will target the pectorals, deltoids, and tighten that lovely armpit area. Begin this move by lying on your back. Keeping the core engaged and pressing the back flap to the bench. Gripping your weighted bar as wide as you can. Holding your arms straight up, with the bar. Positioning the bar over the chest, keeping the shoulders back and down. Proceed to bend in the elbows, and lower the bar about half way. From this point begin to pulse the weighted bar. Keep the move small and controlled with continued tension in the chest and shoulders. Shoot for 20–25 pulses, lower the bar, and take a short break in between. Then back at it, giving yourself five to eight sets of this pulsing chest press. Keeping the weight on the lighter side and with the repetitive pulsing movement this move is perfect for chest and shoulder toning. And great for all fitness levels and goals.
