Medford police are hoping to find witnesses to the robbery, which was reported at 12:24 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of Food 4 Less, 2230 Biddle Road. Anyone who saw suspicious activity in or around the supermarket’s parking lot between midnight and 12:30 a.m. Monday is asked to call Medford police at 770-4783. The truck driver told officers he returned to his vehicle with groceries and was approached from behind by a man who pressed an object to his back that felt like a handgun and demanded cash, Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said. The robber ran eastbound from the parking lot after the truck driver gave him a wad of cash from his pocket, Moran said. The truck driver did not see the robber’s face and was unable to provide police with a description of his attacker, Moran said.
