Hornbrook man faces murder charge Martin Linville Saturday Jun 3, 2017 at 9:56 AM Jun 3, 2017 at 9:56 AM A Hornbrook, California, man is facing a murder charge after the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting early Friday in the 100 block of Wagon Road in Hornbrook. A sheriff's release said deputies found a victim at the scene injured and in medical distress. Emergency medical personnel also responded but were unable to save the victim, the release said. The victim's name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin. The shooting occurred at about 1:45 a.m. After an investigation, police arrested Martin Todd Linville, 49, on a murder charge. He has been booked into the Siskiyou County Jail and is awaiting arraignment. An autopsy will be scheduled as soon as possible, the sheriff's release said. This is the third murder investigated by the sheriff's office during 2017, it said. Those with information about the case are asked to contact Detective Sgt. James Randall at 1-530-841-2900.
