Medford Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon are looking for Douglas Brett Sherwin, 44. Medford Police arrested Sherwin in May 2003 for multiple counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse (child pornography). He pleaded guilty to the charges in November 2003 and was sentenced to five years’ probation, 120 days in jail, sex-offender treatment, sex-offender registration and is banned from contact with minor children. As a registered sex offender, Sherwin is required by law to report his new address within 10 days of moving or within 10 days of his birthday. The last time Sherwin registered was Dec. 19, when he gave a Medford address. When he failed to comply with the terms of his probation, a statewide felony warrant was issued. Sherwin is described as a white male adult, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Sherwin wears a mustache but he may have shaved off his full beard. He has tattoo on his left forearm of the initials "DBS," a cross and heart tattoo on the left side of his chest and a tattoo on his right forearm.
