The Chieftain boys finished third and Phoenix 11th out of 11 teams in the small-school Division 2 portion of the meet. The Rogue River girls, led by Allegra Fety’s third place, took fourth out of 14 teams in Division 2. Molalla won both the boys and girls Division 2 team races. The Division 2 individual winners were Holli Dieu of Coquille (19:10) and Austin Bowles of Oakridge (16:34). Adam Chizek of Phoenix was seventh overall (17:18). Danielle Jordan of North Medford turned in the top local performance in the Class 4A Division 1 girls meet. Jordan placed third (19:25) and the Black Tornado finished 15th in the 18-school field. On the boys side, South Medford’s Alando Pacas placed sixth (16:24). The Panthers finished 16th and North Medford 19th in the 21-school field. Galen Rupp of Central Catholic was the Division 1 boys winner with a time of 15:31. The individual girl winner was Erin Gray of South Eugene (18:28). Local Division 2 Results BOYS 3, ROGUE RIVER (108) — 13, Andrew Barella, 17:39; 17, Roman Newell, 18:05; 18, Tom McGann, 18:20; 30, Nathan Figueth, 18:40; 35, Nick Coulter, 18:49. 11, PHOENIX (270) — 6, Adam Chizek, 17:18; 41, Jeff Stone, 18:57; 63, David Moran, 20:04; 78, Corey Oxford, 20:43; 82, Nathan Shinn, 20:56. GIRLS 4, ROGUE RIVER (128) — 3, Allegra Fety, 20:06; 11, Taylor Schefstrom, 21:49; 19, Lacey Spark, 22:51; 35, Amanda Selanders, 23:57; 60, Karoliina Kotilainen, TRASK INVITATIONAL — At McMinnville, the Ashland boys won and the Grizzly girls finished second at the extreme cross country race at the Flying M Ranch. The 3½ -mile course included running through streams and backwoods areas. Ashland sophomore Andy Wright led the Grizzlies with a third-place finish. In girls, host McMinnville won with 51 points, while the Grizzlies were second with 64. Mountain View of Bend placed third at 99. Senior Kendall Clark was the top Ashand finisher at eighth (25:06). Other Ashland girl runners were Hannah Clark (11, 25:19), Therese McCaffrey (14, 26:06), Mariah Mayfield (18, 26:30) and Claire Chavez (24, 27:08). STANFORD INVITATIONAL — At Stanford, Calif., seniors Leah Sawyer and Ben Tribelhorn paced the St. Mary’s runners competing in Division 5 for small schools. Sawyer finished third with a 5,000-meter time of 20:20. Other St. Mary’s girls were Traci Hamblin (39th, 24.33), Sunya Ince-Johannsen (47th, 25:05) and Kristin Lycett (50th, 25:19). Tribelhorn was 19th at 18:04. Teammates were Michael Delgado (48th, 20:22), Garrett Schwanke (60th, 25:40) and Sangye Ince-Johannsen (63rd, 28:42). WOAHINK LAKE INVITATIONAL — At Florence, Emily Bradford finished ninth overall to lead the Brighton Academy girls to a seventh-place finish out of 10 teams in the 5,000-meter event. Bradford finished with a time of 21:01.45. Philomath’s Brianna Anderson-Gregg took first in 18:59.92, while Wilsonville won the team title. Anastasia Groshaya took 13th for Brighton in 21:44.03, Michelle Jordan finished 21st (22:00.51). Michael Scanlon took 22nd in boys with a time of 18:02.78 to lead Brighton to a 15th-place finish. Siuslaw’s Luke Martindale (17:02.77) was the top individual, while Philomath took the team title.
