Central Point official on leave, under investigation CENTRAL POINT � Union representatives and a state regulation board are each investigating complaints against the city�s public works director, Lee Brennan, who was placed on paid administrative leave Monday. City Administrator Jim Bennett said Wednesday he plans to discuss the complaints against Brennan during executive session at tonight�s City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 155 S. Second St. Executive session is closed to the public. The City Council is not expected to take action on the issue; any personnel action would be an administrative decision, Bennett said. Because the issue is not yet resolved, Bennett declined to discuss the allegations against Brennan. A building department employee who filed a grievance with the Teamsters Union said Brennan is temperamental and has yelled at her in front of coworkers several times, most recently around the Memorial Day weekend. The State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying received a licensing complaint against Brennan, according to board member Bob Neathamer, a Medford surveyor. Neathamer said he is not involved with the investigation and declined further comment. Ed Graham, the board�s executive secretary in Salem, could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
