Kulig, Frank on District 6 all-star unit Phoenix sophomore Annie Kulig and senior Lauren Frank of St. Mary's were two of 13 players who earned first-team all-conference nods in District 6 girls soccer. All eight District 6 teams were represented on the first team, with District 6 champion North Valley dominating the voting after a 14-0 conference effort. North Valley seniors Ashley Enoch, Janna Pilcher and Julia Arnado paved the way for the Knights as first-team selections, with Enoch also earning player of the year honors. In recognizing his team's dominance, North Valley's Dick Matti was named District 6 coach of the year by his peers. Joining Kulig, Frank and the North Valley trio on the first team were seniors Brooke Case and Heather Poore of Henley; senior Trish House of Hidden Valley; juniors Autumn Bell and Jennifer Thompson of Illinois Valley; juniors Dena Young and Yolanda Hart of Mazama; and senior Liz Lewis of Rogue River. Phoenix finished second to North Valley in the District 6 standings with an 8-3-3 league mark, followed by Henley (9-5-0), Rogue River (7-4-3), Mazama (6-6-2), Hidden Valley (5-7-2), Illinois Valley (1-13-0) and St. Mary's (1-13-0).
