ZZ Top will perform at Britt festival after the death of bassist Updated: Aug 03, 2021 03:06 PM A A ZZ Top will perform its sold-out concert at the Britt Music & Arts Festival Aug. 17, followingthe death of the band’s bassist, Dusty Hill, Britt announced Monday. The band has performed twice since Hill’s July 27 death — July 30 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and July 31 in Valdosta, Georgia. Elwood Francis was on the bass at the two concerts. His inclusion was made after Hill’s blessing, according to an article from Guitar World published Monday. Gladys Knight kicks off the Britt season Tuesday night followed by Keb’ Mo’ and Band Wednesday.
