How to tell school zone outer limits Now that the "school zones" are set up for double fines, and we expect to see strong enforcement of speed limits, when will we get information on where a "school zone" ends? Currently, there is no indicator for when you leave a "school zone." I use the backside of the entering school zone signs on the opposite side of the street. This doesn't always work when there is more than one "school zone" in a very short distance, such as on East Jackson Street. -- Phyllis F., Medford Your confusion is understandable, Phyllis. Medford police say that if there is no sign marking the end of the school zone, motorists are to stay under the 20 mph limit until passing the next posted speed limit sign -- in Medford, generally a 25 mph sign.
