Eagle Point Middle School student medical issues dubbed ‘coincidental’ By Kevin Opsahl Updated: Nov 08, 2022 06:05 PM A A Eagle Point School District called it “coincidental” that three of its middle school students experienced “similar medical issues” Tuesday, leading officials to call for emergency care. The district informed families Tuesday afternoon in a brief letter of the episode at Eagle Point Middle School, where the students, who were not identified, were treated on site by medics at an unspecified time. “After investigation, it has been determined that all three incidents were unrelated,” the letter said. “We are confident that these incidents were coincidental and that there is no safety concern for our students.” The letter said there was no additional information “at this point in time.” A district spokesperson could not be immediately reached late Tuesday. The letter said the medical incidents led to no changes to the school day and that students were dismissed at their normal time. “Eagle Point School District 9 strives to provide clear and accurate communication, especially when it comes to the safety of our students,” the letter stated.
