Ashland man jailed in kidnap, assault ASHLAND -- A domestic dispute Monday morning ended with an Ashland man being arrested on kidnapping and assault charges. Ashland police said the man slapped and punched a woman he was arguing with and then physically prevented her from leaving. Daniel Alexander Williams, 33, of 638 Siskiyou Blvd. in Ashland, was arrested on charges of second-degree kidnapping and fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in the Jackson County jail and appeared in court Tuesday, where his bail was reduced from $1,004,000 to $20,000. The woman suffered minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
