Saturday Medford police added charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and second-degree theft against Spencer, who was lodged in the Jackson County Jail. He remained jailed Saturday night without bail. Burglary — Ronald Eugene Miner II, 34, of the 6400 block of Frost Lane, Talent. Saturday Ashland police added charges of first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree theft, and two counts of unauthorized entry into a vehicle against Miner, who was jailed on parole violation charges. He remained in jail Saturday night without bail. Assault — Juan Vasques Mercado, 34, of the 400 block of Arnos Road, Talent. Medford police arrested Mercado Friday night on charges of third-degree assault, reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants and three counts of endangering others, all stemming from an accident at Prune and Columbus. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night. Drugs — Leslie Larie Orton, 18, of Orange Valley, Calif. Ashland police arrested Orton Saturday on a charge of possession of cocaine. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Saturday night on $15,000 bail. Burglary — James LaRoy Huddleston, 18, of the 200 block of North Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Huddleston Saturday on a charge of first-degree burglary. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $20,000 bail. Advertisement Theft — William Blaine Ternan, 44, of the 800 block of South Pacific Highway, Talent. Medford police arrested Ternan Saturday on charges of first-degree theft and attempted first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $9,000 bail. Theft — Mindy Lynn Jarman, 28, of the 600 block of Columbus Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Jarman on two counts of first- degree theft, two counts of aggravated first-degree theft, one charge of attempted first-degree theft and unauthorized entry into a vehicle. Eluding — Timothy Lee Debo, 47, of the 100 block of Winema Way, Medford. Oregon State Police arrested Debo Saturday on charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on foot, as well as driving with a suspended license. He was lodged in jail, where he remained Saturday night on $12,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 4900 block of Butte Falls Highway, Butte Falls. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy took a report of a theft of four rifles, two revolvers and a semi-automatic shotgun with a total estimated value of $3,300. Burglary — 15900 block of Ramsey Road, White City. A sheriff’s deputy took a report of a theft of $700 worth of household items and shop tools, which weren’t identified in a preliminary report. Theft — 1500 block of Toralon Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a theft of $1,100 worth of jewelry, including a wedding band and earrings. Fire calls Grass fire — Interstate 5 southbound, mile 17. At 3:40 p.m. Jackson County Fire District No. 5 and Oregon Department of Forestry extinguished a half-acre grass fire burning along the highway. The fire temporarily closed one lane of the freeway while firefighters worked. The fire’s cause remains under investigation. Structure fire — 600 block of North Grape Street, Medford. A fire in a juniper bush outside Consolidated Electric Distributors Inc. prompted the building’s fire sprinkler system to come on and drench the fire until Medford firefighters arrived. The quickly doused fire caused about $1,500 damage. It remains under investigation.
