Kiwanis Club helps Special Olympians bowl By Daily Tidings staff report Oct 15, 2014 12:00 AM A A The Ashland Kiwanis Club will help Special Olympics Oregon hold its annual regional bowling competition for nearly 450 Special Olympics athletes at Lava Lanes in Medford on Saturday, Nov. 1. Special Olympics Oregon local programs that will participate include bowling teams from Curry, Douglas, Klamath and Josephine counties, the South Coast program and host Jackson County. The Ashland Kiwanis Club will send Sandy Kuykendall, Jeanne Walcher and Ron Parker as volunteers to help support the program and to serve as lane monitors. Also attending will be more than 20 members of the Ashland High School Key Club, including Key Club President Sabrina Scoggin and Key Club Vice President Ashley Knecht.
