A Medford police detective Wednesday arrested Cady on a charge of identity theft. Cady also appeared Wednesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with three counts of delivering methamphetamine, three counts of possessing methamphetamine, two counts of identity theft, three counts of first-degree theft and manufacturing methamphetamine. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released after posting bail. Drugs — Shawn Steven Hix, 25, of the 400 block of Fairmount Street, Medford. Hix appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possessing methamphetamine. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Lawrence Glen Prentice, 40, of the 10700 block of Butte Falls Highway, Eagle Point. Prentice appeared Wednesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with delivering and possessing marijuana. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Eluding — Jason Christopher Tarrant, 34, of the 600 block of Lynn Road, Eagle Point. A Shady Cove police officer late Tuesday arrested Tarrant on charges of attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle, driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving with a suspended license. He was lodged in jail and later released after posting bail. Crime reports Theft — 3800 block of Fieldbrook Avenue, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday took a report of a theft in which tools valued at $2,400 were stolen. Theft — 300 block of Highland Drive, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday took a report of a theft in which a digital camera and other items valued at $960 were stolen. Burglary — 4000 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday took a report of a burglary in which someone entered a residence and stole two chainsaws valued at $400. Miscellaneous Vehicle crash — 300 block of West Barnett Road, Medford. A Medford woman received minor injuries Wednesday after crashing her car into a vacant home near South Medford High School. A medical condition likely caused the 36-year-old woman to drive her 2004 Ford Focus off the road and into the home after dropping off her child at the high school at about 7:20 a.m., Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said. The woman sought her own medical treatment after sustaining minor lacerations in the wreck, Moran said. No one else was injured.
