Felony arrests Assault — Scott Raymond Burrill Martin, 24, of the 200 block of First Avenue, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Martin Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault consisting of domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance. Assault — Jesus Nino De Rivera, 33, no known address. Medford police arrested Rivera Thursday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $15,000 bail. Drugs — Candice Marie Bennett, 31, of the 400 block of South Shasta Avenue, Eagle Point. Talent police arrested Bennett Friday on a felony charge of possessing MDMA, and on misdemeanor warrants charging her with failing to appear in court on previous fourth-degree assault and harassment charges. She was booked in the jail and released Friday. Drugs — Jamie Duane Norris, 35, no known address. Central Point police arrested Norris Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and for violating his parole on a prior second-degree assault conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse — Tracey Colleen Howerton, 49, of the 200 block of Laurel Street, Medford. On Friday, Howerton made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on five felony counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and five felony counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance. Theft — Jarred Lee Evans, 22, of the 1900 block of Alpine Court, Medford. On Friday, Evans made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of first-degree theft charge. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Chelsea Ann Pridemoore, 24, of the 500 block of Beall Lane, Central Point. On Friday, Pridemoore made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing heroin and a misdemeanor charge of possessing methamphetamine. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance. Theft — Bryce Daniel Tepper, 20, of the 6700 block of McLoughlin Drive, Central Point. On Friday, Tepper made his initial court appearance on five felony counts of first-degree theft. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Anthony Ryan Schafer, 29, no known address. Ashland police arrested Schafer Friday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and for violating his parole on a prior hit-and-run to an injured person conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Crime reports Theft — Walnut Street and North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:52 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included an older iPod, vehicle documentation from the glove box, a swimsuit and a reusable shopping bag. The loss was valued at $210. Theft — West 11th and South Fir streets, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included tools, boots, TV, DVD player and a dolly. The loss was valued at $600. Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen electric motorized bike at 10:32 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $3,000.
