Pair jailed in 2 home robberies Medford police have arrested two men in connection with armed robberies at two Medford homes. Michael Wayne Gelatt, 20, of 801 S. Alameda St., Klamath Falls, was arrested Friday morning in Klamath Falls. Oregon State Police and Klamath Falls police helped Medford police detectives Mike Blair and Ben Miller take Gelatt into custody. Jeffrey Tatum, 25, of 1170 Bens Lane, Medford, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Medford. Police said neither suspect resisted arrest. They were lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday night. The jail listed a Medford address for Gelatt. Gelatt was held on three charges each of first-degree robbery and attempted first-degree assault, and single charges of second-degree assault and menacing. His bail was set at $7,004,000. Tatum was held on one charge of first-degree robbery and two charges of conspiracy for first-degree robbery. His bail was set at $1 million. Police said three people forced their way into homes on the nights of Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, and in each incident, fired one shot from a handgun. No one was injured during the Aug. 31 robbery in the 800 block of West 13th Street. One person was injured when struck by the gun, but was not shot, during the Sept. 1 robbery in the 400 block of South Ivy Street. That person was treated at Rogue Valley Medical Center and released. A third person is being sought in connection with the robberies, which police still are investigating.
